Lucid Dreaming is becoming aware in your dream, basically I think that this is a practice that should be widely known and although there a lot of lucid dream pages available on the net, it never hurts to have one more. I myself have had a couple of lucid dreams, not because I practice it but I do meditate often, and when you meditate, you're more likely to have one. Ofcourse if you just want to try it out without going through weeks of meditation there are a lot of techniques that can get you there quicker.
I won't start summing up all the tips and tricks to becoming aware in your dream as there are a lot of sites dedicated just to lucid dreaming… google is your friend!
The most helpful article I found is on wikiHow, it lists all the tips very neatly, definitely check it out.
Everyone should have at least one Lucid Dream in their life, it's a feeling you can't describe, only experience… In your dream world, you are GOD! You do what you want… Once, I was lucid dreaming and wanted to fly to the moon, but I was way too rational (which really doesn't exist in the dream world). I was thinking it would take a long time to get there so I made a teleportation rope in my room. When I pulled this rope I was instantly transported to the moon, quite a rush :).
So if you have one of those evenings where you really don't know what to do, read some lucid dreaming techniques ;)
